MP3 to Nokia Ringtone..... i have sort of done it....

The conversion must go like this....

MP3 - WAV - MID

MP3 > WAV - Use winamp or other convertor soft.
Wav > MID - Use Amazing midi

You may need a modification in a midi song editor... i use the piano roll feature in fruityloops ;)

Works good for the sample mp3 tones you get from sum sites...

Simple program but yet handy.

Rename *.re files to <common name>.<tone name>.<#pos> or vice versa. The ringtone file with this naming convention is for use with ppmmanager.

Another simple but yet handy program.

Rename your ringtones' shortname to a sequence. For example TP01, TP02, TP03 .... I don't know what is the duplicated short name of the tone could effect the phone, but sometimes ppmmanager will use shortname for some phone upon export tone chunck if it can't find the longnames....

Yes, at last... For 6210 owner... Here is the ringtones conversion utility... It can convert the binary ringtone obtained from gnokii to 6210 ringtone format or finland format. Also from finland format to 6210 format and vice versa...

It is a good idea. But, I think you can do it with "rttl to re.exe". Don't you think it will be a duplicated effort?

By the way, here is the new ShortRing.exe. Bug fixed on previous release...

how about adding another function? like removing the "repeat" in tones like changing 070B to 0BFF or 0BC0... i know this can be done in Hex Workshop but it would be nice if it can be done by batch.

The option "To 6210 format" is for wat? i mean wats the purpose to convert .re to 6210 format?

i have ppmedit and i make files with it but it save the files as
*.fls or *.bin but i just have windls and winddp and both of them don't open thes kind of files so can eny one tell me what to do to save that flashes for my phone and what softwere can do that please

Use Nokia DCT3 Flasher by Rolis v4.77 to flash your mobile.

To convert '.fls' tp 'windls/wintesla' you just need to go to the download section @ NFREE, into 'flash-converters' folder and download deejan2wt.zip.

About the ringtones, I can't help you, search the forum for info, this subject has been discussed a lot ;)

If you go through the threads in the TDMA/CDMA section you WILL find LOTS of posts in regards to NOKSOC(2) several which do have file attachments which include a 'commandclass.ini' file .

Here is the line for your 5125, suggest checking the threads in the TDMA/CDMA section first on TIPS. Otherwise your on your own.

Hi i managed to get he software called NOKIA FBUS by Maestro V0.25, which basically does AUDIO SPEAKER TESTS, and changes PRODUCT PROFILE TO DEFAULT, when i click READ. It says 'Im working, wait...' but nothing seems to happen, can some1 please show me a working version of this software, or something im doing wrong? im using this to test an 8210?
