View Full Version : HELP !!! 8250 keeps Freezing

i need help my 8250 keeps freezing

i turn it on a few seconds later it freezes
then it wont turn on for a while

is this a software conflict if so

could i get some help updating my software
what hardware 2 buy and software to get
anywayz could i get a link or if someones helpful
to add a few tips in

or what other things can i do to fix this problem

try to reflash it with an other mcu+ppm and maybe eeprom too..

Did you dropped your unit? It happened to me before when I dropped my 8250, it freezes once in a while. I opened the unit and do some "hot air" all over the pcb (printed circuit board). Try first to upgrade your version and if still the same problem occurs, then it's time to do some "hot air". After that, let your board to be cooled enough and then turn "ON" the switch of your unit and you will see the difference. By the way, do you have the equipment?

u c i've got 2 fones and they both freeze
one has been dropped and still has the problem of
freezing and not being able to turn on
the other just doesnt turn on
except sometimes and when it does it freezes


i want to get a
mcu+ppm
eeprom
so i'm thinking of getting

most of the problem is MAD 2 dry joint,
just replace will do

yea i got the exact same problem mine recently began to have the problem more constantly :( ive only got a data cable with a MBUS/FBUS switch on it.. is this enough to flash or fix the fone?

Hi,

I have same problem with my 8250, after reding this thread, I use hair dryer to blow the PCB (blow the cpu MAD2).
No intermittent freezes new....

for old hardware id of the pwb for nsm-3d module, mad2 was underfill with a special type of glue, we just use normal blower to take it out( becareful, it might damage ur pwb or mad2), clean the glue, reball and then put it back.

heh i tried a blow dryer and my fone works good strong yet for only like few hours hehe. it seems to be having problems on hot days as well :( since i can't find a place to get a flash cable i gotta find a place to get it fixed... unless i can convert my mbus/fbus to a flash cable
