Ive unlocked a few 6101 using Asic 2, Original settings and its worked fine. Now i have one on T-Mobile USA and everytime you insert the code it says sim restricion on. This is done by inserting a different sim as doing it without doesnt do anything. Code #1 is used as its a USA phone. Just remebered i had another USA 6101 do this but not sure which provider. I have unlocked other USA 6101 with no problem. Any idea why the sim restriction on message keeps coming up? Is it the same as code error or cannot undo restriction? Any input please, its ruining my success rate

From this thread (http://nokiafree.org/forums/t77233/h/s.html) looks like a lot of people is having trouble in unlocking T-Mobile's 6101...
My bet is that, either they sell phones with expired unlocking attempts or they managed to find a way to change the unlocking procedure - new MNC or even modded firmware :-?
cheers

I bet it's a MCC MNC issue. T-Mobile did it before... and besides it's the easier way. If someone that has to unlock the phone via hardware could ask the tech to read the MCC+MNC before flashing the phone, and take a note and post it, we could check what is happening and start sollowing this issue.
Best regards
