6230 unlock failed, now restricted

tried using the unlock codes from the calculator but it spat back at me that the phone is now restricted, how can i unlock this as its not my phone????? Thanks

can you explain, what you mean the phone is now restricted, what message did you see on screen after entering code?

i put 3 codes in and the screen came up and said unlocking failed, phone now restricted and no sim cards work. i thouht i had 5 go's at it. hope that makes more sense.

i got the exact same error,
i tried to many #+pw codes..

no i can't even put in back the original sim (vodaphone nl)

i was told i should use a datacable now
and unlock through software
but i only have a usb-phone datacable
and not com1/2 - phone datacable

and all the software i have use com ports..

you need some sort of neelix or prodigy box...
or is there another way to flash/unlock
a hardlocked phone by software

6230, NL Vodafone...

For a reliable code, contact Ur provider, it's probably more as 1 year old, and they MUST provide U THE code for free. ;)

It isn't hardlocked since else U would still have access to the original provider.

If above solution not works anymore, visit a socalled Nokia Service Centre.

They can reflash it for U, in worst case it will cost U some 10 to 20 euros.

If U wanna reflash it Urself, U will need a device called flashing box which cost from 150 till 400 euro's or more.
