This is useless. The NokiaFree Unlocking program doesn't list a 6030 nor my 6111. Could anyone tell me how to unlock the 6111 using the calculator.

For example what Asic version, code set etc to use with the calculator, or an alternative listed phone model to use with the calculator. Thanks

This isn't completely correct. The new pink Nokia 6111 cannot be unlocked with those settings. I tried loads of codes from a calc on the wifes pink Nokia 6111 without success. I ended up sending the phone towww.phonegoods.co.uk (http://www.phonegoods.co.uk) to be unlocked via cable which they did without problem. They told me that they are the only ones currently supplying the correct codes for the new pink 6111's and so I decided to test the theory. I went to their site, paid £4.50 and obtained two codes instantly for my daughters pink Nokia 6111. The first code worked a treat :D

Thats because the 6111 is an ASIC 6 phone not ASIC 2

So sorry mate you have just wasted £4.50 coz I worked that out for free as you have questioned it!

So sorry mate but you are wrong, please elaborate so as not to cause confusion. Some Nokia 6111's are indeed ASIC 2, however some maybe ASIC 6 - the trick is knowing which ones are which and I can tell you this for nothing, it's not just the pink ones that are a problem ;)

As for me wasting £4.50, answer me this question - had I asked you to provide me the codes for my daughters pink 6111 last Monday (when I got the codes from phonegoods.co.uk), would you have supplied the correct codes? No, you wouldn't because you have just admitted that you have allegedly figured it out tonight! So, I've wasted tries on the codes you would have supplied and no doubt someone else would have piped up with another code wasting another try. Then I would have tried another forum and wasted another few tries on more incorrect codes eventually resulting in 'Cannot Undo Restriction' and a costly cable unlock. Wasted £4.50? I think I've actually saved myself a lot of money ;)

How many people have wasted their 5 tries on free codes and it's ended up costing them a great deal more on a cable unlock? Sorry, but from now on I plan on saving money and trusting the real experts :-D

what grounds you have to claim some are and some are not? Have you unlocked any 6111 using ASIC2?

the "real experts" get a lot of knowledge (if not all) from people that post in the forums. You think they have original equipment to unlock or calculate codes? not all, most have devices built/developed by members of gsm forums that are indeed the real experts (not blowing my own horn  )

I too couldn't figure out how 6111 is sometimes ASIC2 and sometimes ASIC6. Also I have seen lot of online services say that they only could unlock it correctly, I managed to unlock about 25 Nokias with Nokia off-line code calculator. Most probably they must be using the same calculator or at least a program with the same algorithm.

After going through all these links, discussions, helpful comments etc, I would never say either this site or the code calculator "USELESS".

My advice is "go through/search the forum before you post".

Have a good day

They told me that they are the only ones currently supplying the correct codes for the new pink 6111's

Yeah right! They have a "new" code calculator they wrote themselves obviously! LOL I would never believe anyone that states "we are the only ones.." :D

I've unlocked loads, pink or not. Just use ASIC 6 with a current serial, as stated above by others.

Then I would have tried another forum and wasted another few tries on more incorrect codes eventually resulting in 'Cannot Undo Restriction' and a costly cable unlock. Wasted £4.50? I think I've actually saved myself a lot of money

This however is becoming a reasonable argument more and more, IMHO. The more free site there are, the more dodgy information, or correct information being used in the wrong way, causing phones to be locked up. Why not pay a nominal fee?

The problem is, how do you know the people you are paying are any better than you? They could just be a teenager in their bedroom using the Nokiafree calc, and just as likely to lock up the phone.

They told me that they are the only ones currently supplying the correct codes for the new pink 6111's

Put it another way.

Extract the serial used by them using the nokiafree calc.

Test to see if it is ASIC 6 (it will be) using the Nokia free calc.

Post the results.

Now they are no longer the "only ones" who can produce the pink 6111 code :-D

Unless you really think they have their own calculator

So waiting for a reply. LoL..
Who has unlocked a 6111 successfully? If you have please post your
Asics and
Gen
As soon as you can so we can all unlock our phones.

So we have some theories already, if you have a 6111 and would like to risk it:
ASIC: ASIC 6 GEN: ASIC 6
ASIC: ASIC 6 GEN: ONE
ASIC: ASIC 2 GEN: CUSTOM 32768

Same as 6030...U can unlock it generating codes like 6030..
Regards!
sergo_zmeia
To unlock the 6030 U need these Asics and Gen:
ASIC: ASIC 2 GEN: ASIC 6 [32821]

IF anyone has a PINK 6111 please post your firmware so we can take a look at it.

If any of the theories dnt work, please post that it doesn't so I can edit it and no1 gets there phone barred.
I think this phone will behave like a 6230(i), so Try Codes +1 and +7.

Oh, and post your firmwares too.
Great help! :)

Just wanted to let you know that I've just unlocked my T-Mobile Pink Nokia 6111.
Absolute first time I've ever had to unlock a phone before so perhaps I had beginners luck plus help from reading a few tips from you guys!!!
I was given 7 codes to try and luckily the first one worked.

Hope this has helped and not broke any rules on this great site?

OK, so, I have bought 6 Silver Nokia 6111's, from Tescos, on Tesco Mobile, and have successfully unlocked them all with the calc, using Asic 6 Gen 6.

BUT NOW, the seventh 6111 I have bought is not letting me unlock it using the Asic 6 GEN 6 settings.

I have noticed a difference in the phone setup, from all the previous phones i have unlocked compared to this my most recent Nokia 6111, which is:

With the first 6 Nokia 6111's I bought, when I turned them on, the logo would load up, and then I would be asked if I wanted to use the phone with no sim in it, and I said yes as I know you need to have no sim in your phone to unlock it.

but

Now with my most recent Nokia 6111 I bought, when I turned the phone on, it asks straight away, do you want to start the phone with no sim, and then the Nokia logo comes on with the hand.

Does anyone know 100% what the prob is? I dont have many tries left :(, I hope you can help me Morgs, as you helped me unlock all my other Nokia's, can you help me now??

Regards,
Dan

Mr. paulie1, please, don't suggest other people to break the rules please. No imei posting or code posting are allowed in nFree. As a side note, your codes -will be- different indeed. The best you can do with a code and the standalone calc is check with GEN was used to generate the codes.

Can I suggest you to interchange the settings you have used to generate your codes? the most important are the GEN (serial) and the network code. Corroborate that you two are using the same settings. Probably the failure is there.

Spadge - it seems that one network in particular is causing problems in the UK. It works fine for older models, but newer firmwares (including 7-02-06 onwards) won't unlock from Tesco Mobile (a MVO in the UK).

I'd posted on another thread wondering if they were using a different MNC, or maybe Nokia have just started blocking the ASIC 6 GEN?

Extremely strange, just had 2 Nokia 6111's
Can unlock by cable but decided I'd do a test first using unlock codes:

Nokia 6111
V 03.70

Both phones locked to Tesco Mobile,
Tried first phone using calculator:

Phone 1:

Nokia
6111 (RM-82)
Imei:............
Tesco Mobile
Asic 6
Asic 6

Generated codes entered code
Code #7: code error
Code #1: code error

Tried
Asic 2
Asic 6
Code #7: Cannot undo resriction..
3 Codes used, luckily I could unlock the phone by cable.

Phone 2

Nokia
6111 (RM-82)
Imei:............
Changed Tesco Mobile to o2 - Cellnet
Asic 6
Asic 6
Code #7: Phone restriction off.

Phone 2 unlocked.

Hopefully this will give a bit of help to someone

Nokia 6111 (RM-82)

No cable can unlock a DCT4 model m8 only hardware.

If you have not hardlocked your mobile already these are the settings to use

In the options check the box "Expert mode" and in the general section above that (general) the only box to be checked is the "IMEI checksum verification". Now press the back button to save your new settings. Under Nokia select "General DCT4" now put in your details making sure you have the correct MCC+MNC code, then Asic type should be be set to Asic 6 with the box serial ONE (32836) and use #7 for other members that have not tried and #7 failed use #1.

Good luck

Please remove your IMEI (((read the rules)))

Your mobile is hardlocked m8, only hardware can unlock your mobile now and that means taking it to a shop to be unlocked directly.

hi, this is a great site with lots of helpfull people, i was wondering if could get some of this help.
I have a pink nokia 6111 that is locked to t-mobile, i have had a look at the crux unlocker code generator but the 6111 doesn't appear to be on there.

If anyone can pm me to help me out i can supply the relevant info for the code. The phone is a xmas pressie for the girlfriends mum and unlocking it would be a great help.

Thanks in advance.

UPDATE : IT'S OKAY I HAVE MANAGED TO UNLOCK IT BUT THANKS FOR READING. GREAT FORUM, KEEP AT IT!

Purchased it tonight for somebody £49.97 with £10 free airtime (which you can use on 02)

Got it out the box, figured out where the battery fitted

Now onto unlock Phone firmware was 3.85 Manufactured Jan 08

Tried ASIC 6 and ASIC 2 phone types with Tesco Mobile 23400003 extended code NO GO :(

Last attempt?

23410 (02-UK)
ASIC6 Phone Type
ASIC6 (32821) Box Serial

Phone Restriction Off!

Scratch head?

Go Figure

But I'm happy one unlocked phone because of the helpful information on this thread
