6230i - Lost Signal

I bought a 6230i off ebay knowing it had a signal fault. The chap that I bought it from it just stopped working one day (no water damage / unpaid bills etc).

V 03.40 25-05-05 RM-72
Any ideas, is this a common fault ?

if there really is no water damage then send it into Nokia to get fixed under warranty... free of charge... easy peasy
