Hi,
I've searched unsuccessfuly on this forum the network code for the TELE2 in France, which is a fresh new provider. They sell nokia 6020 either 2600 with either contract or prepaid card (http://www.tele2.fr/mobile/index.html).
Can someone give me the MCC+MNC code, as there is no TELE2 listed into the french provider list, neither on online or offline calculator ?
Or at least can someone tell me how to get the IMSI code from the phone ?
Please Help ! :)
Many thanks for help.
Cheers.

Hi,
My question seems either difficult either ambigous... ?! :)
Well after small investigations, it occurs that TELE2 France use a MVNO (mobile virtual network operator) i.e. : Orange network in France.
The official network & telecomunication office have confirmed me that they don't belong any MNC code as they don't own network.
In other words, they're using Orange France network, ok :
Does it mean that I should use MCC+MNC= 20801000 as if it was a phone locked to Orange ?
It seems too simple to be true... well I could try and risk one more trie (2 left, for a nokia 6020 as it's 3 attempts max I think ?)... But I would rather hear your opinion before
by the way: if I try to insert an Orange sim card into this TELE2 phone and if this card is accepted, will it mean that my theory about using orange MCC is correct ? Or has it nothing to do with the way this 6020 has been locked ?
Thanks for trying to help me :)

The matter with virtual networks is that unless you have a box to read the network code you may end using a wrong network code to generate the codes. In example, Tracfone is a -rather strange- virtual network that uses an 8 digit network code IIRC. Tracfone borrows Cingular network -among others I think-, but has its own network code, so using Cingular network code did not work for them.
According to the ITU listings, Orange france has two network codes, 208 01 and 208 02 (the rest of zeros do not affect the result).
Something similar occurs with Virgin Australia, that borrows Optus network (I don't recall if the case was like this or viceversa, so if someone wants to correct me, be welcome).
So indeed there's no easy way to tell if using Orange France network code will work. Maybe it won´t, but since on the ITU listing your provider does not appear, I would try using Orange mcc mnc, and just in case, I would pick the yellow pages for a phone repair shop that would flash the phone for a small fee ;)

The problem is that i don't own this cellphone, i'm trying to unlock remotly for someone who doesn't live close to me...
Anyway, I don't even know if such shops exists in my city (not so big) but I will check. If I buy a TELE2 mobile phone and go to such shop, they can read via device the MNC+MCC code ?
What a pitty that there is no '*# MAGIC #' code to get these info directly on the phone like firmware version or IMEI... :(
Well, I've just asked this person to insert an orange simcard into his cell and it worked: TELE2 locked phoned accept Orange Sim card... Hmmm is it a good forecast... ?

Excellent forecast indeed. Yes, any repair shop with a box like Griffin, Tornado, UFS and all the new trend of boxes can read the MCC+MNC without problems.
But the fact that an Orange sim was accepted is a good forecast, probably the network code for orange will unlock the phone.
Don't forget to post results please.
Best regards

Well, good news !
I have successfuly unlocked nokia 6020 locked to TELE 2 - France, using following settings:
3220(RH-37)
France / Orange (MCC+MNC:20801000)
Asic 2
Asic 6 (code result: 32821)
I used #1 and got 'restriction off' message ! :D
I'm waiting for a non-accepted provider sim card to check and be 200% sure ;)
I'm going to unlock second TELE2 nokia tonight or tomorrow, I will post results off course.
Thanks for advices.
Cheers.
