3310 will not switch off

Hi all

I was about to upgrade a 3310 to 3315 but have encountered a problem, the fone will not switch off. whenever the off button is pressed the fone switches off and the turns on again about 2-3 seconds later. Removing and replacing the battery leaves the fone turned off but once switched on again it will once more refuse to turn off.
Any ideas if this is a software of hardware problem ? or any sugestions ??

maybe your poweron switch have problem, try to change one.

Did you accidentally dropped your unit before getting it for upgrade? Test your power switch by using analog tester. Or try reheating the borad using "hot air" equipment.

Thanks for the replys,
I've no idea of the history of the fone, ie was it ever dropped etc.
I won't get a chance to get my hands on the fone again till next week so I'll check out the switch then, I have spare pcb's so a replacement shouln't be a problem - altough I will try the suggestion of hot air first
