Kabayan, I think this ain't possible since they are totally different in hardware make. And possibly in flash size too.
But if this can be done, include me in the band wagon! :)
By the way, Tondo base ko.

Yes, I would really like to hear the results!
Has anyone ever tried to fit a 5210 in a 8850 shell, as it is possible with the 8210? I'd love to have a 8850 with WAP ;)

this is because mcu rom check sum fail.
follow this.
1. get a 8855, full backup(MCU+PPM+EEprom)
2.Write in ur 5210.
3.Rewrite IMEI, Open SIM LOCK and Set Factory Default)
please bear in mind, the structure of LCD for NSM-4 and NSM-5 are different, so i dun know it works or not.

tanx a lot for your help but i guess i dont have a full backup of an 8855, can u give me also? 8855 is quite expensive in my country so i just buy a 5210, half the price of 8855.

now i sucessfully flashed a full 8855 flash with eeprom to a 5210, and its working!!! got signal too...
but the problem is the screen is the other way around, you are like looking in a mirror...the battery sign is on the left side and the signal is at the right!!! and the words are too.
so this mean we should change the lcd of that of an 8855? or can we make a solution through software??? any reactions and wild ideas?

yeah, i think it can done by software too, coz remember, we can invert the fonts, then for that, why not? but there's still no one knows this yet. maybe we should ask some masters to helps us out. sorry for my english.. :)

Hmm...
Rotating the screen 180 degrees? I've heard of inverting LCD via software, I was a little scepticle at first but a couple of people have confirmed this... I wouldn't be surprised if the LCD could be rotated either :D
Cheers,
-Dave
is anyone here can help?
if this really could be done by software editing, it's great!

Hmm...
Well, I haven't tried the process myself, but here is a tutorial that explains how to 'Invert the Screen: Without taking the mobile apart': http://welshwizard.isgreat.tv/Guide/ScreenInvert.htm
Enjoy,

man how could we rotate the screen...? thru software? or someone did suggest to "rewire" the lcd connectors in the board? please shed light on this, in my opinion, is the "change lcd" the only solution? dats a bit expensive...

Hmm...
For mobiles like V3366+ that would be easy, since all you would have to do is flip the screen and extend the flex cable, but since most Nokias do not have a flex cable (directly 'on-board') this does sound a little more complicated... Don't mind my asking, but why would you be interested in rotating the LCD contents? ;)

-Dave
