Hi Folks,
I'm new to this and would be grateful for some advice please. I'm interested in Nokia 3310s, the unlock code calculator needs the network but what do you do if you don't know this? (eg if phone bought off ebay?) Also how do I know if I need to enter GID1 codes or not? Sorry if this sounds basic but I'm still learning!! Thanks, Richard :-)

Hi,
Then U need a datacable to be able to read it and/ or unlock it that way.
U will have to do the Gid method only if the 1st method doesn't work.
In case when the phone have 2 or more locks.

A FRIEND GAVE TO ME A 3210,BUT IT DIDNT ACCEPT MY SIM.
I TRIED TO UNLOCK using the online software (i dont have cables because in Greece have the same price with a second hand 3210!).THE MESSAGE WAS:SIM WAS NOT RESTRICTED.
I TRIED THE CODES FOR ALL THE NETWORKS IN MY COUNTRY.THE MESSAGE WAS the same and my sim was not accepted.
Then I tried the sim of another network.the PIN was accepted but the phone had no signal although i entered the menu.
Did i kill the poor phone?

previous post warned about the possibility to have more locks locked.
did you try calculating code for lock#2? (You must know the network provider's GID code though)

You need a MBUS Cable and the software Noktool. Then you can read out the data from the Phone and open all Locks.

I used the codes for all the 3 national networks, (plus 2 more effords because i couldnt figure out how the message was sim not restricted but simultaneously when i entered the sim it was not accepted), without using the GID code
because i haven't understood yet how to find. Another problem is that all of my 5 chances of entering codes are over!

if you manage to get cables be sure to take note of GID1 values in case lock2 is locked. this way another network can be added to databases ;)
