Unlocking Help Please.

I have been trying to unlock a friend's Nokia 1101. I got the codes using the calculator, removed the SIM card, but the numbers disappear from the screen within seconds of me typing them on! It is impossible to get them on fast enough. Tried with the SIM card in the phone, but the reply came up as "wrong code". Have I missed something basic? Or is this normal for this type of phone. I have successfully unlocked other Nokia phones without a problem. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Several things that we need to know

Network
Firmware Revision

And most importantly what you have tried alreadly ie GEN serials and what + code you tried

I noticed that my thread was moved - did I post in the wrong section? If so my apologies.

I used the Crux Unlocker to work out the codes. Nokia DCT4, then "other DCT4" as the 1101 is not listed. The network is Spanish Movistar (Prepaid), and then I used Asic 2, and V2. The code I tried was the seventh, and also the first.

As I said, I was puzzled that I could not type the codes in fast enough before they all disappeared!

Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will try that next time I see him, which will not be until June (he is currently back in Spain). Daren't trust him to do it himself by the way!
