Hi Guys,

We all know how frustrating it is to try and unlock a phone, you know each ASIC and GEN, but you cannot find the network listed in the Calculator's db! :-x

What websites do you use to find your MCC+MNC.

The One i use is:
This One (http://72.14.203.104/search?q=cache:YfKv2kzV5LYJ:www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios124/124cg/hmwg_c/mwgfmcc.pdf+MCC%2BMNC&hl=en&gl=au&ct=clnk&cd=3 )
[This is orignally a pdf, but thanks to google, they changed it to normal html]

Oh and some tips for some newbies. Sometimes they service provider has two names. An example is Optus in Australia. Sometimes labled as Singtel.
Another example is; Hungary T-mobile - Westel Changed to T-mobile in 2000, but kept its MNC.

Anyways the point here is that using google to Find a service provider isn't always a bad idea. Try typing in Hungary T-mobile Westel and a few sites will tell you about its transfer.

If Your looking for Australia's Virgin Mobile MCC/MNC it is: 50502000 The same as Optus Singtel.

Please Post your MCC+MNC websites or Tips and Tricks here!

Yep, the cisco net list.

That list is very incomplete. As you can see for example for Argentina, it only shows the MCC, but not a single MNC. Even Nfree calc 2 years ago had the main providers from Argentina.

Have you realized that there are some countries that are not even listed? Bosnia, Botwana, Brumei... seems that Brazil doesn't exists

Maybe because Brasil mainly uses Lucent equipment to route their digital traffic.

Be careful with this kind of lists. Take into account that a list that is not made by any public organization is prone to be arbitrarily modified, like in this case.

As this is a list of providers that uses (or at least some part of their respective networks) Cisco switches to route digital traffic in mobile communications, probably this list is restricted to those markets where Cisco has majority, or at least a good share. I can shed some light since I know that in Brasil and Argentina, equipment is mainly provided by Alcatel and Lucent. Cisco is a minor player in some countries in South America... that's why you don't see Brasil, Peru, Argentina, Uruguay...

There are better resources out there... compared to the list built in the calc, that list is very incomplete. That's why we don't recommend it. But well, for main provider from "main?" countries, it should be enough. Now, if you are looking for networks that use Cisco equipment, this is the official list ;)

Best regards
