changing firmware version

Does anybody can help me how can I change the firmware version? For example 3310 with firmware version 6.08, how did they change it to version 6.08. I know version that is not a original release of nokia.

simply open the flash file with a hex editor, and search for text "6.08", change it to what ever you want, then save.

you need to download Nfree 1.2 (http://nokiafree.org/forums/download.php?file=Nfree12P.zip&phone=Nokia/) to update your flash file MCU checksum, and download PPMManager 0.91 (http://nokiafree.org/forums/download.php?file=PPMManager091.zip&phone=Nokia/) to update your flash file PPM checksum before you write it back to your phone.

After flash, remember to update FAID with NokiaTools by Rolis v1.8 (http://nokiafree.org/forums/download.php?file=Nokiatool18.zip&phone=Nokia/)
