Platinum talkin clip with clip that plugs into base of phone (like a handsfree attachment) will remove security from bb5 handsets, just select dct4 security reset.

Just so u know.

have a nice day

Unlocking the handset to use any service providers sim card and resetting the phone security code are two different things altogether!

The platinum clip will just reset the security code to the Nokia standard 12345.

by the way, are there any mastercode calcs for the BB5 phones yet? or do the DCT4 calcs still work for them?? do mastercodes still work for BB5 or have they been removed?

Good question... let's hope someone with a BB5 encounters this problems and let's just see what happens ;)

Apparently, for what the first post says... it should be the same. But you never know...

apparently some bb5 phones can be (master code) unlocked by dejan calc, and some cant.. but most cant than can :-( just a case of luck i think, also heard something about entering 1st 5digits instead of the 10, AFAIK no n-series has been succesefullly unlocked via mastercode generated by calc

I have a 6680 with that exact problem, an unknown mastercode! Tried the mastercode calc with no joy, so it does not work with my BB5 handset either

Edit: it was the http://nfader.z-host.ru/ one I tried :)
