Hi, I need some advise. I bought white led (but I don't know what is the part no.) and change it with the original green. The phone can be turn on and working as normal, but none of the LED is working. I have try using multimeter (1k ohm range) to test out the light on board and it does lid up. Can anyone tell me what to do??? They are few things that I need to know...

1) Can 6210 use any led 0803, 1206, 0603??
2) Can the multimeter led test cause the blow for the led power up unit?

Any idea on what should I look out now? I need all your expertise and advise me in details on how to resolve the problem.

Sighh....

Thankyou

You mean the arrangement of the LED? I did what is written at the bluled.co.uk. Hmm now I am suspecting the LED if it is the correct type. As it is written only the 0805 and 1206 can be used. How can I check this? Is there any other way to check that out?

0603 ; 0805 ; 1206 all work properly in the 6210. It is just a matter of practice to fit them in, becuse the 0603 eg. are a lot smaller than the originals.

Is the polarity right on the LEDs? I've heard of LEDs, that have the anode marked instead of the cathode. That may solve your problem, because nothing will light up, if all of the LEDs are soldered in exactly the wrong direction :D

Thankyou for that info.. I will give it a shot. BTW, another question, What if I only dissolder the screen and make the other way, but leave the keypads as it is first. Will the "correct" led lid up ?? In that way I can know.

Well, in fact if you only desolder the 4 screen LEDs and turn them around it should already show. But remember to switch all of the screen LEDs around before turning the phone on.

Screen and Keypad are 2 totally seperate circuits ;)
