Do you know what I need to do in order to make a 3410 work with 3310 soft? I put a 3310 display and it really doesn't matter. I get "contact service" error. I looked in the phone and there don't seem to be very big differences. I must obviously "know" somehow that it's a 3410 and not a 3310 and I don't think that it's just the fact that the flash is a little bit larger. People used to say that the lcd is to blame, but it just doesn't matter. The LCD works very well with 84x48 pixels software in the 3310. I believe I could make it work in 96x65 pixels with Nokix programs, so I don't actually know what's wrong :(

The problem is with the flash size. You should flash twice the 3310 full flash(mcu, ppm, pmm, eeprom). First from 0x200000 and fron 0x400000. May you changed the lcd so it will work properly with 3310 cover. But You should not change lcd but in this case there will be a black line on the right side and on the bottom side. If you use nokix you can use 3410 cover also with 3310 flash if you use 3410style script.

I was doing something wrong with the 3310 flash. Of course I did flash it twice. 3330 flash also works.
The problem now is that I cannot unlock the sim. Practically no MBus programs work for me. If anybody has a 3310 or 3330 flash that surely works i'd be glad to use it. I suspect it will need a patch at the service locks. Even if i put an unlocked 3310 firmware with faid check and mcu check it has all locks closed when I look at it with noktool.
So there is a way to know it's not a 3310 besides the memory sizes :)

Which program do you try to use?

I prefer dct-3 repair v3.5 or nokiatool 1.8.

The locks of course locked because you may use virgin eeprom on which you should first set the imei number and faid(after full fact reset, clear locks, fullfact reset again). Without these you cannot unlock the locks. :(

so try again and sometimes the mbus cable doesn't work because of one way communication. so simply try more times.

I have 2 3410 that cannot be converted. After flashing they power up but will not let me change IMEI or unlock the SP locks. It does not matter which Mbus program I use, they all do they same.
I even done a FUBU of a 3310 including the eeprom to the 3410 and still wont work.
