i have two questions regarding unlocking a 3390 nokia,
first, might be a dumb newbie question, but i read some threads and to my understanding that to unlock it first i have to use the codes to unlock the company that it is still tied to right?
second, when useing the V3.1 gen i saw the GID, is that optional or do i need to type something there?
any direction would be grateful thanx!!

To unlock a DCT3 handset, you need the Network Code and IMEI number, Dont worry about GID1, that usually present in handsets in Europe etc

If you cant unlock the phone by code you can buy an fbus/mbus serial cable (3310/3410/3390/3315) $15US and download a free piece of software called rollis 1.9

It basically shows the phone simlock internals, very useful software!
