I received my new N91 on Saturday morning.
Just had time to load 1.5 Gb of music. Yesterday, the phone froze for no reason, but the power swith still worked.
Today, it froze when receiving a call (I could not pick it up, mute it or anything, except using the power switch again).
Now it freezes and not even the power switch is able to bring it back to life.
If you remove the battery and switch it back on, it takes 2 seconds after getting the Nokia splash screen before it goes into cathatonic state.
I am calling customer support @ CPW tomorrow, but we have not been waiting for this long just to get this "amazing" piece of kit, NOT.
And to top it all off, there is no Satnav software for it.
Anyone with the same problem?

At the moment, on my second phone and already sent out for repairs.
The keypad lock switch stop working. The microphone makes crackling noises when on a call, and the sound quality is rubish (I can hardly be heard).
Another one. When using the mp3 player, it will stop at the end of a song and when you start looking for the track listing, it is all empty.
If you receive a message at the same time that you are getting an incoming call, the phone freezes (I know this might not happen to many people, but I get that a lot).
No wonder Nokia delayed the release of the phone... they should have not released it at all. Really unhappy with it.

I had the same problem with my phone freezing. Updating the firmware made little difference. So then I ran windows scan disk on the phone as a removable drive and it seems to have fixed the issue.

ive jsut spoke to orange customer services, and they will not be releasing this phone for the above reasons. im dissapointed because i really liked the look of the phone, but glad ive been told the facts and they are honest and not selling them.
what other phone do you think they will replace it with ?

Good news for all you guys having problems with your n91. Nokia have added the n91 to their software updater. This means you can fix the problem at home. Format your phones' hard drive, run the software updater and then restore the backup. Any issues I had have now all been resolved.

Glad it has worked for you. Not sure about the long term results though as i have had to just send my n91 in for repair! I do think that my problem might be that of software and hardware together. If your problem is just the software hanging then the above solution will definitely help.
