Hi.

I've spent 3+ hours scouring message boards, attempting to find a solution to this problem:

I've been attempting to unlock a 2600 Locked to Australian Telstra.
(only telstra Simcards work - tested telstra, optus, vodaphone).

My dillusional enthusiasm used up my first attempt, using the Asic 6(Asic 6) setting. (wasted! - should've read more first!).

My second attempt used Asic 2(Original) (#5) but failed.

I then tried asic2(Asic6) (#7), but incrementing the 4th digit by 1, as I had read on a forum.

Now I'm down to two remaining attempts (of which one, I'll have to use legitimately - paying Telstra's Extortion costs).

What should my final attempt be? From what I've read, I'd assume either Asic2(ONE) (#7), or Asic2(Asic6)(#1).

Can anyone advise which one, or otherwise? Has anyone ever succeeded in unlocking an Australian Telstra 2600 (I've seen several advised how, but no one confirm if it worked or not).

Heres hoping,
Greg.

:-?

Where'd you get the idea to use the +5# code?
I would suggest the Asic 2 Original Method with +7.
I find that +1 and +7 is best to unlock your phone. The others are useless.
