Hey, I've looked all over the place and I would really like to know how I can get the gen I need for any phone (V2, V1, original, T-mobile) or better yet if somone can explain what it actually means, because I've tried 3 codes on a nokia 1110 RH-70, and the more I look around the more gen codes I've found including:
Original (32779) (http://nokiafree.org/forums/t80585/h/s.html)
Custom (33000) (http://nokiafree.org/forums/t79763/h/s.html)
Custom (32811) (http://nokiafree.org/forums/t77733/h/s.html)
ONE (32836) (http://nokiafree.org/forums/t79878/h/s.html)
All I would really like is some kind of info about what the gen actually means and how u guys figure it out, because everything else has some kind of reason behind it. Even if someone can direct me at some FAQ that explains this it would b greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

The GEN, aka serial, box, etc., is one of the variables involved in the DCT4 algorithm. There's a sticky in this forum explaining what is the GEN, but it has to be updated, since it was written before some studies were carried on and the info there is not quite right -specifically, more than one GEN is possible to use, while in that explanation is stated that the exact GEN must be used-.

As for your question, you can use any serial that is not blacklisted, e.g., ONE, Original, 33000, 33200.

Check that all the rest of variables are ok, and try then.

Best regards

Okay, thanks for that, kind of helps, but I've tried like 3 different codes and none work, but it doesn't matter because my mate took his phone anyway. Thanks again for the info, much appreciated.
