I have unlocked a T-Mobile 6021 (mid 2005 firmware) and get SIM registration failed and no signal using O2/Tesco SIM. But it is ok on Orange and Voda.

I used Asic 2 and serial=Asic 6 (32821) entered Code 7 and phone reported restrictions off.

I'm a bit baffled - i had thought it was barred before testing with Orange/Voda. Tesco say contact T-Mobile. T-Mobile dont want to know. Checked with a unlocker in town who used a cable and he said it was fully unlocked.

Anyone seen this kind of problem before?

A barred phone in the UK will allow registration on T_Mobile and Vodafone Networks, however when you try and place a call you will get the three tone "call barred" tone. Orange and 02-UK Simply will not allow you to register with those particular operators

Thanks for the clarification. I have made calls using an Orange SIM so the IMEI is not barred.

Just wondered why on earth 2x working Tesco SIMS and an O2 SIM will not register with the O2 network.
