Cable to unlock Siemens S40

Hi, I have a siemens S40 which is locked to be only used on Singular network. I would like to unlock it so It will work with T-mobile. Do I need anything special or can I just go an buy data cable from siemens for the computer and get a map to upload it? Will this work or is that cable special and the one from siemens isn't going to work ?
Any ideas?

The OEM Siemens cable is the BEST cable and the ONLY cable we recommend... I know others have had some success with a few of the aftermarket cables but for the most part they dont work.

But the Siemens cables is a little expensive if you plan to do just your 1 phone..as that cable does NOT work with any of there other models.

Did you still have a Cingular account or whoever had the phone still have a Cingular account?
