Hi,

Anyone know how to unlock a 3330 using a dct3 code calculator when you don't know which network the phone is locked to ?

Any help appreciated.

When you power up the phone does the phone display a logo?

The surefire way of reading the network code is using a serial mbus/fbus cable and rollistools 1.9!

Hi -thanks for the reply.

Phone in question is currrent.y working with "Fresh" from carphone warehouse.

Phone was originally unlocked using dct3 calculator from nother network - don't know which ..... but won't work with an O2 sim ....

Regarding cable unlocking - can this be done using a "battery piggyback2 cable as 3330 doesnt support a "proper" Nokia cable ?

Try at your own risk!!
Fresh uses the T-Mobile network (23430000).
Fresh is a MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator), more info (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MVNO).

Regarding the cable, check if the MBUS and Ground (GND) pins are connected (No resistance), then you could build a cheap adapter (http://www.panuworld.net/nuukiaworld/hardware/cables/index.htm).
Pinout for 3330 (http://pinouts.ru/CellularPhones-Nokia/nokia_3310_pinout.shtml).
I've build the 8 component MBUS cable and it worked just fine (I soldered the wires directly to the phone).

Not sure what you mean by "as 3330 doesnt support a "proper" Nokia cable"? The NK-33 cable should work, the HA5 cable possibly works too.

Hi - thanks for the usefull info. - I'll check the cable out :)

...what I meant was a cable that you can just connet to the exterior of the phone without remooving the cover and battery as I currently have to do with the "piggyback adapter"...... so do either of the cables yyou mention connect externally to the phone then ? :???:
