Hi there

I have a nokia 6630 which i don't know the security code of therefore cannot change the sim card. I seen the reset mastercode facilty here on nokia free and tried it but with no success, I assume it is the same story as the bb5 unlocking and this reset service only works on dct4 phones, can someone confirm it this is the case and if there are any other way to reset this code for me. I know the nokia service centre can do it, but i wanted to make sure there was not a free way to do this. any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Thanks
Graeme

If your wanting to use a sim card from a different network in the phone then it is locked and you cant unlock it for free or by any third party software, cables, or boxes etc. Only the original network provider can unlock it and it will cost you about £15.

If your talking about the security code then it can be reset but not for free. It will have to be done by cable and a box.
