universal unlocking box

ive just purchased a universal unlocking box with cables
It didt cost much Ive never tried to unlock phones via cable.

What software do I need and how do I go about it.

Im at work at the momnent but will post specs up of the box later.

I just thought id give it a try and see what I can or cant do.

Any advice for a first time unlocker would be helpful
