Ngage Code Entry

Ive used the CRUX calculator to generate codes for an N-GAGE. I put wrong sim into phone to bring up code input request. It will only accept numerical digits (numbers) and therefore I can't input #pw+ etc.

What is wrong?. Ive never tried unlocking an NGAGE before

Try pressing the '*' key more times directly after another and U will see these p/w/+ characters appear.

I don't think i made myself very clear by the looks of it. *, #, along with multi-taps to make P, W, + etc. don't work at all. It is looking for a purely numerical code with no p's or w's. every digit input comes up as a star (*) like a secure password where you can't see what you've typed. Catch my drift?.

I got fed up in the end and used the left keypad membrane and some internal components to fix up another of my NGAGE's. Another phone for the bits box!
