hi GUYS!!!
i have succesfully upgraded 8210 to 8850....
how?
the CPU version of ur 8210 must be V16.
why?
it is requirement you know!
now, flash your 8210 with 8850 full fls(200000-400000)including eeprom.
turn on your phone,no contact service display otherwise it is INSERT SIM,read phone by nokiatool,no problem on IMEI but all locks are close. now, calculate faid, change IMEI(imei on phone and at the back of phone must be the same),eeprom using nk calculator by dejan or eepromtools by b-phreaks or NOKTOOL by rolis. thats all!

(you can see actual version of CPU if you have star screw tools and dissassemble your phone,at the back of PCB,you will see the big black IC chip, and read the ic serial no.,the version V16 etc..)

GOODLUCK!!!!!

Whats the difference of 8210 and 8850?
If u put white leds on your 8210 and a magnesium(or whatever) case you have 8850................
Or i am wrong?????

I got a virgin eeprom and the latest 8850 software and upgraded my 8210 (which has a cpu v18) and its working fine! All i can see different is the ringtones tho!

Would 8890 software work on an 8210 and where can i get the latest 8890 software?

Hi!

In fact I think the 8210 is a 8850 (and vs.).
Just the backround light of the LCD is different.
So if u put in white LEDs it will look pretty much
the same.

Ok, also the ringtones might be different... but hmm not really a different cell then, right?

Doc

ps: btw the ringtones r changeable on all the cells if u manipulate the PPM accordingly /n/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif
