yesterday i released the new g3n0lite v1.3

- DEADFA1D by me ;) works for 8210 and so on
- DEAD MCU Chk by NokDoc
- before writing the menustructure, the text window is saved in buffer and can be restored with restore button
- some code cleanups when searching for free area in fls
- aborts when not enough space in MCU area (changing PPM will result in CS)
- when exiting, you will be warned about an unsaved file
- the addresses shown in dump are not anymore RAM addresses, but REAL offsets in file ( or have i done this in 1.2 already??)

- etc.

please post experiences an bugs OF THIS VERSION in this thread

note: i know about the PPM bug.... when reading structure of
some files, the menu names are scrambled or the app MAY exit.
in this case leave the LANG field blank... and look at the phone
which menu has which name..
sorry about that but i think its not as important like the functionality of the app
maybe if i'm bored i'll fix this... but it will take longer than doing
the DEADFAID code ;)

I notice on my 3210,that it is easily go to empty about two hours i have recharged my phone and signal strength seem to be so weak.I use g3nolitev1.2 patching the netbar and the slide show.
Is it already corrected on v1.3?

Did others experienced it also?

i use the patch with a 8250 and i dont feel that the bar
will suck the battery

of course causes this 1-second update that the phone will
consume mor power in standby, but i dont think
thats SO much...

are u really sure that this patch causes the empty battery?

I've done this also on 8250 and there's no problem.Yes i think i'm sure of it cause i flash it again my phone without patching the animation and the slide show, and works fine.You can try it, if you have a 3210 in hand, then observe the phone after you've done it.

Its a 8250 v 5.00 flash, mcu+ppm
root offset = 0x0011F83C, which is right

If force offset and menu description are ticked i get:

Attached, apperntly its to big

Hope this is of some help, i know how annoying it is when a program you wright doesn't work

On another note, do you think that in the next version you will be able to make it so that you can change the net bar animation without having to use a non patched file?

Eg, dump a netbar patchd flash off the phone, open it in g3n0lite and re do the net bar patch to choose a differnt animation?

i cant see any problem in this dump....
if u want the menu names, well then enter ENGL in the lang field...

if u want to change the graphics... use poodriver to modify
my app wont allow multiple patches

oh ok, the ENGL thing works great, as for the poo driver thing, ill try that, but its a lot harder than just pressing patch again and choosing a diff animation, but either way its still the best app ever, along with mr joox's FLSedit
