hi this has been covered before but i need all the the known ways to unlock this phone in 1 place so i can see if i could do it myself and save the £40 they are asking to unlock this phone in town :)

theres no way you can do this phone you'r self unless you buy a very expensive bb5 unlock box and the last time i checked they were going for £3000.
there are no free softwares or free solutions out for this model

thats not strictly true... i managed to ubloack my 6680 that was locked to 3 with a DKU-5 cable and Dejan's unlocking software

and if you bothered to read this thread you would have noticed he's asking about a 6280, not a bloody 6680.
and for you'r information the 6280 is not covered by any free software at all as it's a newer model than the 6680.

hi this has been covered before but i need all the the known ways to unlock this phone in 1 place so i can see if i could do it myself and save the £40 they are asking to unlock this phone in town :)As well as the other answers about boxes, GT, Dejan and UID you'd still need x100 microscope to connect test points which are about half the thickness of human hair and even with all this equipment there is still a high chance of turning your 6280 into a brick if not experienced in use of all this equipment.

I see various BB5 boxes now available for around EUR400 + shipping - still not worth buying just to do your own phone plus a couple of mates'.

I saw one source offering for £280 and I know others are even cheaper but The TP on 6280 are extremely fine and I doubt anyone can do these at home, not unless a non TP solution is released.:(
