ok mate you'r talking about unlocking the phone so it will accept another sim.

and yes some phones are even locked so that they will only accept one sim they won't even accept another sim from the same provider.

sadley for you the phone you have can not be done for free. you need to either find a local unlocker with the kit or phone you'r service provider for the codes, both will likley cost about £20.

Wesh is talking of opening All Security Codes for BB5's. After reading all the forums I think I have the picture that there is more than one lock, or maybe even more than 2!

I have recently purchased 2 E62's. One is locked to Rogers in Canada and one to Cingular in the USA. When I insert another SIM into the phones a message comes up that the SIM is not recognized.

Would Wesh's unlocking capabilities assist me at all? If not then what is a security lock?

Today I dowload and install NSS Programm. In dialog box "Please select from folowng devices you are yoused after installation" I have used "Virtual Usb Device". Then following instructions, connected my phone to computer. At last step "clik on Read" programm said - Error!

My phone is 5500, I use CA-53 cable, my imei is

im working with vista, and eset, dint know if 'bout that but that nss doesnt work in here, it starts fine but then it always ending up crashing....
i've got a 6630 with a forgotten security code, but that phone it seems that the computer doesnt find it... doesnt the phone start right away or do i have to inout the security code first? if i do how can i find it ?

OK, I figured it out going back and forth between the tool program and the keygen program just to get into the program.

My 6263 only connects via a USB cable not a parallel COM cable. So how can I get the (security) access code with this tool then?

1st off ur mob connects like every other,
using
tx=transmit
rx=recieve
gnd=ground.
an in a usb cable the other wire is 5v positive.

in a serial cable,just connect rx,tx, and ground,use any old dct3 or dct serial cable
if u got usb cable,go device manager select the props of your usb cable,click advanced,in drop down pic any com port below 8,,and click apply,then ok,,,
ur usb cable is now on a com port the prog will see:)

select your com port then in the prog:)

Not much luck. I put my phone into Nokia Mode (setting => connectivity => USB data cable) and then one of the USB devices under Nokia parent phone is Nokia GSM phone USB (com 4).

So I start the program then select a comm port and it always bombs out first giving a error popup: runtime error 76; path not found; click OK and the program is gone.

I switched my device to comm 2 and the program still fails.

What path am I missing? I have the program under C;\BB5_Tool_V3_Inc_Key\BB5 Tool

Oh yeah, the cable thing. Well my phone uses a standard regular USB to micro USB. Nokia's version happens to be DKE-2 which isn't in your chart. I dunno anything about these other cables.

I got a little farther by putting the bb5_tool and bb5_unlocker both in the root c:\ directory. I could connect on Comm2. I started the unlocker and hit read phone and it fails saying check FSB cable/fix. I was thinking it could generate me a PM file which I could get my access code from.

The code calculator always says failure to connect to server.

I did find another code calculator tool and that code it generated didn't work.

I'm open to suggestions :grin:

now scroll up to FIELD [308] and on the 5th RECORD ur security code is saved
like this;

5=31313131310000000000 remove all the "3" digits and it will be like that

5= 11111 0000000000 now its 11111 thats it.

I have a Nokia 6233 from The Netherlands from Orange (And yes, I am aware that it's very hard to unlock these phones. Orange is basically taken over by T-Mobile as far as The Netherlands is concerned.

I moved to the US and would really like to use this phone in the US, simply cuz it's too beautiful of a phone to just let it sit there..

Can anyone help me with unlocking this phone? I did try to call T-Mobile in The Netherlands and they are referring me to Orange, then when I tell them that Orange is T-Mobile in The Netherlands, they do not know what to do..
