Sorry guys if I have missed this somewhere in the threads but I am having problems. I have an E65 locked to UK Orange. Have debranded and upgraded to latest (I think) generic firmware 2.0633.65.01. Using Mr Dejan s/w am able to read phone, back it up but can't create logs. I am using a 6 pin DKU-5 cable, any help greatly appreciated.

Just curious, could you read the phone with Dejan soft before firmware upgrade?

Pretty sure I couldn't, sorry can't be 100% sure

There has been some debate on the 6 pin vs 13 pin cable. Some say it works, but I was never able to make a 6 pin work and had to use a 13 pin. Not sure if that is your problem.

Edit: I suppose I should be more specific. I was able to connect with a 6 pin, but could not create logs, just like the trouble you are having.

Thanks for your reply, don't suppose you were unlocking an E65 ? I have since been told that the E65 can't be unlocked with Dejan's software, only with boxes and test points. Confused !

Can anyone confirm this ?

i'm interested to know this as well.

I've got an e65 from Australia and wish to unlock it.

Can someone confirm what specific cables are necessary to unlock the e65? CA43 or DKU5?

also, can Dejan's software be used?

So far as I am aware the ca43 is not a usb to serial cable, therefore Dejan's sw won't even initialise. I have used a DKU5, Dejan's sw will read the phone but won't unlock it. I have since been told that the E65 is not a supported phone but no one on this forum has confirmed or denied this:-?
