My N95 is alive again and runs FANCY Futuremark's 3D demo test perfectly
Sometimes such a feeling of triumph is followed by intense desire to share it with somebody and therefore I would like to shortly inform you that my lovely Nokia N95 (http://www.symbian-freak.com/reviews/n95/n95_preview_01.htm) is alive again and comes to take revenge ( http://www.symbian-freak.com/i_ll_be_missing_you.htm) and I just can't tell you how happy I am because of that ;)
Finally I got the problematic flat connection cable, dismantled the phone again, change it in a few minutes and everything seems fine for now, the great one is back! However this is not the main point of this article and corresponding video.
My intension is actually to show what I've found over at our forum section (http://www.symbian-freak.com/forum/) few hours ago. However this is not the main point of this article and corresponding video. My intension is actually to show what I've found over at our forum section few hours ago.
Well as you may have already know, same as Nokia N93 (http://www.symbian-freak.com/reviews/n93/n93_review_01.htm), Nokia N95 (http://www.symbian-freak.com/reviews/n95/n95_preview_01.htm), actually whole N95 family (http://www.symbian-freak.com/news/007/08/nokia_n95_8gb_officially.htm) is based on the great Texas's chipset and features 3D HW accelerated graphics with OpenGL ES (http://www.symbian-freak.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4564&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=345#43836)(1.1) support. GPU is based on the PowerVR MBX 2D/3D graphics accelerator (http://www.symbian-freak.com/news/006/05/powervr_mbx.htm) from Imagination Technology incorporated into Texas Instrument's OMAP2420 (http://img212.imageshack.us/img212/6351/15yr.jpg).
