Hello,
I'm wondering whether to use this phone as a paper weight, or fix this phone. I don't live anywhere a Nokia store anyway, and it's probably only worth £30.
I do have a data cable though & I'm a bit of a fixer so I'd like to give it a go. If so, what instructions are there, and where do I get Rollis / Dejan? Else, please tell me if I should give up... thanks!

seriously, if your hell bent on fixing this then your cheapest and best bet is a phone shop... it might be a corrupt SIM lock, or a hardware problem, they will be able to tell you for sure... if its SIM Lock then they can fix it, if its hardware then its really hard to fix... you need specialist equipment as most of the components are under soldered cans, even if you get them off you need parts, and THEN if its a UEM thats faulty you need more specialist equipment to program it when you replace it!!!!
small phone shop should be your first stop

Hello,
Thanks for that answer. So is a phone shop just an unbranded phone repair shop? Or can I try going to any of the highstreet phone network stores e.g. for orange / o2 and see whether they have fixing departments?
Thanks again!

nah none of the networks will touch it, or if they will then it will cost you stupid money... if you go to an unbranded independant phone repair shop then they should look at it for a small fee...
