6230i unlocking difficulties!

I took out the sim and typed in the unlock code I got from the generator, but I've got no way of clicking 'enter'. Any buttons I press get no response.
- This isn't my usual phone, it's one I've got off a friend, so I'm completely unfamiliar with it!

put in sim that its NOT except,(example if mob locked to orange,then put a vodafone or whatever in).then type all the code in,,,including the *#+ etc,
