I have a Nokia 6230i locked on Virgin UK and I have tried few codes online but it did'nt work

Network Virgin UK
Nokia 6230i System /info

I have tried these and I have only last chance left now. Also I have read that you need to have a sim card in to unlock this model. Is it true and if so does this have to be the original sim card or can it be any sim card.
