Paid for an unlock code from 3 and followed the step by step instructions as given on their website and was unable to lift restrictions first time.
Rang customer services who talked us through the process step by step, again failed to lift restrictions.
Was then passed on to technical who followed a similar process to the above, again with the same results. Was then told that the phone is now permanently locked to this network and nothing else can be done with it. Gladly they refunded the charges, good luck trying to unlock this model but beware you only get three attempts (don't know if you get said five attempts with other networks) Shame 'cos it's a nice phone too but don't wan't to stay with this network, so will have to weigh up the alternatives.
