3310 v5.59 Contact Service

Hello.. I`ve a 3310 version 5.57. When i flashed version 5.59 it display contact service. Can anybody help? I Also want to make the blinking text stuff..

I flash with rolis478 and it was a MCU and PPM. I tried too flash a eeprom too.. But it still displays Contact Service

connect phone on mbus, switch on, unpack this in root, start progy, select com port (the right one) and use f1 then f2 then f3.

i also got cs when upgrading from 5.57 to 5.59 maybe it is true that 5.59 needs a new eeprom, havn't tried it ... read other threads.

I updated my 3310 to 5.59 and it worked fine, no cs. Flashed mcu +ppm with rollis 4.78 update faid ect with noktool18, worked no problems. I dont think it needed new eeprom. I didnt try modifying the fls.Good luck

tried to flash directly the mcu and ppm of 3310 v5.59 i got contact service. i merged the two into 1 flash den correct checksums, it works fine. :D

I had the same prob contact service after using the Rolis 4.78 build 006 to flash the phone. What i did is load the mcu (wintesla format) and ppm (wintesla format) and then click flash. I flashed the phone twice and still having the same problem. Contact Service. The phone will switch on at the 1st time with Insert SIM and then restart itself and contact service but then i changed to use the rolis flasher ver 4.77. Everything works fine , not even get a contact service once. Rolis 4.78 buggy??

Erratic is the word that dscribes it.

I do have this problem when flashing with Rolis 4.78b006 using a direct WinTESLA image. What I do is to save it first as .FLS file before I flash it. But this doesn't work 100% always. Sometimes I still need to verify it with PPM Manager if the checksums are okay.

It was fine with me... I flashed it using rolis 4.77 using split mcu and ppm of 3310 5.59. I tried to edit it with PPMEdit, still worked fine. But when i edited it using HexWorkshop for the startup tone and other stuffs, it got contact service.... So i just have to flash it without editing it with the HEX.,


It should work for you... I downloaded my flashes from NAPALM

Use chkfixer to correct crc on your mcu after edit for the startup tone. ppmmanager won't do this for you.

1. Using the FLASHER CABLE, Flash the mcu+ppm first using rolis 4.78. Just click the red button and point the mcu-ppm flash file. We will then be directed to the new menu then click "OK"

2. After flashing the mcu+ppm, open your fon. If everything looks okay, except for the signal bar, then you're in the right track. If you get CONTACT SERVICE then that's the only time that you have to flash the virgin eeprom.

3. Using the FBUS/MBUS CABLE, Open NokTool 1.8 and read the fon using the yellow rectangular buttom at the upper-left-side. If under the "imei" box it says ??????????????? then you have to replace this with the imei number found at the back of your fon (hidden by the battery). Check the box beside the "Change IMEI" button and click the "Change IMEI" button afterwards. Then, clear "SP LOCKS" then update "FAID".

4. If you still don't find any signal, close the fon and open it again after 3 seconds.

5. By this time you should have stabilized your fon.

If you have to know more, read the Newbies FAQ and the rest of the forum's topics.

Don't be too lazy to do it. Read and re-read NFREE again and again. That's where we all started... :)

email it to me? if you can't, i'm just interested in how you inserted a language to the mcu+ppm flash file. can i use flsedit?

hi, alileila, contact service is sure to happen, when you get the contact service , don't be panic ,read your phone from 200000 to 3D0000(not eeprom ), after that use nokhex or whatever software to correct the mcu checksum and then flash it back to your phone, any result just let me know. -using the flasher cable and Rolis 4.78b, press red button. you will then be prompted to a menu (for you to open the folder where the virgin eeprom is).

-click the veeprom for your fon. you will again be prompted to another menu. on that menu click the button for your fon and you will notice that the starting address will be changed from 200000 to 3D0000.

-press the power button of your fon and wait till writing is complete.

-use fbus/mbus cable and noktool 1.8, read fon info and you will notice the ???????????????? on the IMEI box. replace this with the imei of your fon, check the small box beside the "Change IMEI" and click the "Change IMEI" box. Click also the "Clear SP Locks" button, check the small box beside the "Update FAID" button and click the "Update FAID" button. your fon will automatically reset.

-turn the power off for 3 seconds and turn it on again.

by this time your fon should be operational.

just post you queries if you still don't get it.
