Hi all, I'm trying to unlock a 3510i so that a family member can continue using it after changing to THREE, the phone was initially locked to ORANGE-UK. I've used both this websites calculator and another ones and they came up with the same codes, used code 7 and code 1, both gave me restriction turned off and the phone now works with Orange, O2 and Virgin SIM's, but when I try the THREE sim, it says sim card restricted :-? (the card works in a three phone). Have I missed something here? Complete amateur to phone unlocking so hoping someone can help :). A couple of side questions, is there any way to see how many attempts you have left to unlock a phone before its hard locked, and are attempts counted if you enter a successful code, or only when it's unsuccessful?

(Hope this is the right subforum, was a toss up between this and one other)

nokia 3510i is not a 3g phone,,,it is a gsm(or put it another way a 2g phone).
three will now turn sims off if not used in a 3g phone.....
hense thats what happening.....read the small print,on the pack the sim came in....
i dont know why they doing this...(well officially...i dont know why...lol)

ps.
u can use older version sim in 2g phone and a 3g phone:)

most importantly.....once you see restrictions off,,,then phone is unlocked.....done...
u had the right code +unlocked it,,,,any other code will giv u code error,,,,,,,and the right code will give "restrictions off"and do it again wit right code and"no restrictions active"or somthing like that........DONT DO ANY MORE CODES ON THAT 3510I.....:)
