changing prefix tones while maintaining the composed one while upgrading

how am i going to change the prefix tone n on the same time upgrading (eg.3310 to 3315) but also remain the composed tone entered b4 upgrade..?

I've just change the startup tone on my 3310 with 0x36 in length. The problem is, the tone appear ok, but the phone keep vibrating altough the phone already in standby mode. I've changed the end to 0BFF n calculate the PPM n MCU checksum using Nfree n checkfix but sometimes i got "contact Services' after flashing.

it's somewhere in the forum... i think u have to change the end of the tone so it won't vibrate forever...
just search for it... it's in the forum...

Just successfully handle the problem.. looks like i've to change the end of tone to 0B0C coz i've selected the whole tone 2 fit in... :D By the way, does anyone know how 2 change the 8210 or 8250 "animated" startup logo? i've tried searching the ppm manager bitmaps section but couldn't find it...

open the .re ringtone(your used startup tone) using HEX editor.
find all 0A01 and 01FE ..edit the 0A01 and 01FE by :

0A01 IS to for vibrating . 01FE is to stop the vibration so make sure the last note before OBOC(this is to stop looping) , there is
01FE if u wish to stop the vibration.
