The will seem to appear fine first nokia 8250upon switch on but after a couple of second.it will auto restart and display contact service and hang, untill i pull the battery out.

The other 8250 when I switch on the phone it will immediatly display contact service and remain hang.

What should I do to the phone,to order to repair the phone.what do you guys advice me do. I would like to know how the problem occurs and how to fixes with what tools, software and hardware. Thank you for reading this message.

hello!this sounds like a SW Problem!
reflash the 2 phones, with mcu, ppm, and a virgin eeprom,
then enter IMEI, clear SP-LOCK and recalculate FAID!then restart phone and nomally thats it!

-i´ve always made it this way!!

for flashig use rolis nokia478b6 flasher or knok flasher,

for IMEI, SP Lock and FAID update i always use NokTool by Rolis!!!

hope this will help U!!

hi.
to try to resolder cobba and ccont and then check. If this is not this you can try to check what is contact service(pc locals-example), or first check and after that resolder. good luck!

Hmm...

Here we have another double-poster...

Well... you won't really know until to experiment, will you?
You won't break anything if you first try the software, you might even be amazed at the end results... once you've checked the software and are sure it's not a software problem, then you might want to go and buy a hot-air station and resolder the cobba and ccont inside the phone.

Personally, since I am mor of a software person myself, I would check software first, what have you to lose?

Regards,
-Dave

the first phone sounds like a problem I sometimes get when modifying the flash,

you should reflash with a clean flash file or

read the flash from the phones and use chkfixer by joox

you will need a flasher cable and a data cable

a copy of rollis flasher 4.78 and eeporm tools 3.1 (both avail from the downloads section)

Hello Mate,
You have two contact service the first one is software problem the second is direct contact service which is hardware problem. Try to read the two phone in Eeprom tools you will see what's the reason for contact service. You will see COBBA parallel test failed that is cobba IC reheat reflux cobba or replace.

Good luck

Thx...  :-D

Erm well NO thats bullshit

Software can cause both various contact service points

READ THIS:

1. Symptoms: In the Screen always appear CONTACT SERVICE:

Description: Indication that the data of the MCU or PPM or Mostly EEPROM
is corrupted.

FIX A: Try to reflash the phone with the original or corrected backup
by using flasher cable and proggies for flashing, like kNok,
flash
tool or Dejan flasher.

And do this:

FIX B: Try to upload virgin eeprom or eeprom from a working phone, then
change IMEI with eeprom
tools 3.1,or Rolis 1.7b,or nk_calc,power off the phone and then back on,now
all 4 locks are OPEN and IMEI changed, now you UPDATE FAID using one of theese
3 tools, and your phone works now.....If your phone still dont get into network
use log calculator by TEK....

//========================

2. Symptoms: In the screen INSERT SIM and then resets and then CONTACT
SERVICE:

Description:Indication that the data of the MCU or PPM is corrupted

FIX: Try to reflash the phone with the original or corrected backup
by using flasher cable and proggies for flashing, like kNok,
flash
tool or Dejan flasher.

Ok so im not saying 100% software - dont get me wrong but TRY IT OUT, and if it neh work then reheat cobba etc etc all the hardware stuff people chat about
