How to upgrade 3330 into 3315?Sorry...

Hii all.....

Can someone tell me how to upgrade a 3330 into 3315?I flashed a 3315 Ver.5.57 but i get contact service.
I have upgraded 3310 into 3315 a lot but i never upgrade a 3330 before.What should i do?

Try flashing it with original 3310 firmware (mcu+ppm+eeprom) and than upgrade it in the same way you upgraded from the 3310.

ERM OK ALL IDEAS ABOVE ARE BOLLOX - Sorry :rolleyes:

To upgrade 3330 to 3315 you need to flash full 2megabyte flash of 3315 TWICE into the phone

firstly 200,000 then 400,000

All because the 3330 has wap and therefore takes up more room and has a 32megabit - (4 megabyte) flash ram :p

This 4mb flash is just two 3315's joined together so do what i said - simple

May I just add that changing a 3330 into 3315 isn't exactly an UPgrade... no matter what you may think of WAP!

i had try this frist i read flash from 3315 fone but swith it for 3330 reading on rolis , then start....

after thet you got 4 MB flash software 3315 for 3330...
then flash it to your 3330 fone after that finish you got
3330 ==> 3315...
but with this way you will need a 3315 fone for reading to 4 MB

Can i read a edited 3315 flash files?Or i need a origianl 3315 flash files?

you can use both off them....or any flash off 3315
but after that you can't edit the flash again in this flash 3330 ==>3315... because the ppm manager detect it 3310 , then save it to 2 MB

and remember it use full flash.... MCU+PPM+EEPROM.... to do 3330 ==>3315...

today i try again to edit the flash of 3330 ==> 3315...
and the ppm manager seem to be can edit the flash ..but the 3330 fone , don't have with me to try it because it was belonging to my brother in law of mine and he is not with me right now

a month ago i try to edit with PPM edit and got contact servis....

tell me if you can edit the flash with succesfull, ok..:p .. i like to know more about this things..

Yesterday i flashed a 3315(edited) fls files into 3330 and it's fine.
I have edited the 3315 fls with PPMedit,so i think u can edit any 3315 fls by PPMedit that u wan to flash into ur 3330.Dun forget to checksum after editing.

Hmm...now i dun have 3330 to try silkmilk way to upgrade 3330 into 3315.But i'll let u know when i try it.

no, what i ment is after you have 3330 with the flash 3315.. you can't edit the fone again... maybe the addres is mess up.. not
2000000- 55000000 (MCU+PPM)....so always got contact servis..

my friend can upgrade the 3330 to 3315 i mean downgade have auto keypad lock but no wap and animation screen saver. you need to full flash the file image... try itgood luck...........
