5510 and java

hi

does anyone have a modified flash for this mobile?! and how can i add bigger menu graphics like in projectZ flash?

another question.... why does the netmonitor in the original flash file of the 5510 has the picture of the (i think) 3350/3390 mobile phone??? does this means there can b upgrades for the 5510 to something else???

i heared that we can add java and polyphonic ringtones to the 5510 using some flash files??? is this true???!

hmm.. my (5510) netmonitor was same as in 3310. even not changed that phone in pic.

5510 can't be upgraded.. but can be downgraded to 3310/3330.
but you will have problems with keyboard.
or then just put your 5510 in 3310 covers and use 3310 keyboard pcb.
(haven't tried that, need 33x0 for that ;) )

i don't know anybody who has added java for 5510.
maybe it could be ripped from other phone and put into 5510 flash.

wat is the last version of flash .... is it 5.53?? is there any diffrences...? have u got a modified flash? i tried to modify one ... i modified all graphics and tones but contact service.... any help?!

i dont think you can put a 3310's keypad/screen on it i have a 5510,3310,3330 and they have different connector parts by just looking it doesnt look possible for the 33**'s front pcb to work as the 5510's is in a differnt position :)

As for java i hope someone does get it working on 5510 cuase that work be nuts :)

hmmm... so i have a question.... can i downgrade from 5510 to 3350?! and can this happen without losing the mp3 player option?!

hmm.. take 5510, open it, replace the 1st pcb under keyboard with 3330's, and put into 3330 covers.
then flash 3330 firmware, and it works. (i hope)

but it has no idea, because then you lose keyboard and player.
331/30 parts can be used for fixing 5510.

haven't seen newer firmware than 03.53, if you have 5.53 i'd like to try it :)

@litefun it isnt going to work there is no way you can change a 5510 to a 33** for these reasons:
1. No kepad contacts on the pcb
2. No Lights (they are useful in the dark :D)
3. the screen conct is on the other side of the pcb
4. Apart from the size differnce a 5510 has identical software with addeed FM radio and MP3 player. You can even flash 3330 eeproms (i did this to get downloaded map packs off my old phone)

Anyway could we somehow extract the Radio to use on a 3330? seeming as they both have the same size flash we obviously cant just flash a 5510 cause the keypad differnces :(
