Hi Guys!!!

How are you? Well, I have finally made a cable (Modified mbus for Rolis 5.14 by Abe) and it worked 100% with my 3310.

This 3310 had a wrong IMEI and 4 locks. My friend flashed it with some next mans full backup. Silly guy!!

So, This what I did.

1). Flashed the phone with 3310 v5.03 PPM F by using Rolis 4.77.
2). Used nk_calc and pressed F1 to calc FAID......eeprom updated. /n/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif
3). Pressed F2 to CHANGE the IMEI number to correct IMEI....DONe..no problem.
4). Pressed F3 for full factory settings in eeprom....done....no problems.

5). Used my dual mbus/fbus and read locks status in NokiaTool035. All 4 locks CLOSE.
6). Took phone OFF from cable...and left it for 5 secs and then read i again......somehow...all locks now shows OPEN ......a bit wierd...but the job done.

Its now working on all networks and the correct IMEI on it. However, the original IMEI is still showing in nokiatool as the older one.....I cant change it for some reason...any ideas??

I used my cable on COM 2 with windows 98.....(normal edition....not SE)

and thats it....

Everything is working 100%....APART from that if i use nokiatool, i can still read the original IMEI as the older wrong one.....hence. IMEI MISMATCH...as the nokia centre ppl call it...heheheh

Anyway, I hope it helps in some ways.

Take Care

try using nfree by viper.. if it still don't work. i mean imei(orig) still showing use hex edit on the 0x162 Imei (Security, XOR 0x65), 7 byte. after that correct the chksum.

it might work... it should work.. /n/images/smiles/icon_cool.gif

The weird part is actually that you forgot one step after updating the eeprom /n/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif
you forgot to reset the phone before reading by nokiatool /n/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif

@abe

your right koci can edit the imei....

@all

how about if we want the production code be the same as the one written at the back of our cellphone. huh...

i think imei and prod. code are basic info that should be shown...

or with pclocals... if you want the hard part, you can also use a hex editor /n/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif
