I don't think it's on his computer with an URL like this
slikmik

ok well to start off im slikmik
yeah me site address is ftp://slikmik.remoteserver.org
and YES it IS based on my home pc, my pc is a dual celeron 500mhz, 400mb ram and 570kb broadbandand is on 24/7 the only reason my ftp goes down is either i forget to run it or me pc's down for a short while, its up now so upload away guys :)
Oh and the site address thingy is easy all it is is a dynamic ip thingy, i have a program running as a service on me pc that updates the address http://slikmik.remoteserver.org with my IP address goto www.dnsart.com to sign up for a web site address that does the same then all i have is a web server MRBIG4545 wrote, very secure and easy to use next i run bulletproof ftp to serve me ftp server - simple :)
And built into the http server is an option mrbig4545 included so if say my ftp server is down you can remind me just send a message like so:
type me web site: http://slikmik.remoteserver.org/message?
then after the question mark write your message - simple :D
Or change whatever after "message?" to your wording, please dont go crazy and bombard me with messages just use it to praise me or say thanks :D

Well... Thanks! Nice this dns service... just subscribed! Unfortunately I'm behind a gateway and it doesn't work:( Nevermind, will use it somewhere else and give the advice to some friends who have permanent connection... :P

You need to set up the gateway computer (if u have admin access) to relay anything to port 80 to ur ip port 80, this is how i do it. :D
Hope this makes sense, lol
