scompress is good, but last time I used it, it was very buggy (i.e. it just filled the entire memory)

Think ActiveDesk and ActiveMail need to be cracked.

ActiveMail (http://www.cibenix.com/) allows automatic email downloading on sms email alert, and allows header downloads, not the entire message. This is very usuful for a limited GPRS internet connection, like mine :( Bloody orange!

hi guys! regarding the smart compress crack...how do you actually do this...
Delete c:\system\apps\smartcompress\smartcompress.app! Copy this one to the same dir.

can someone kindly show the steps on how to do it? maybe there's a program that i need to do this? thanks!!! :)

Don't say that! It works for me....

Which version do you have? Install trial version 1.01.
Then delete the original smartcompress.app. And then copy the cracked one to the dir.
As I said it works for me. It should also work for you...

Just do this:

1) install scompress trial 1.01
2) send by irda or bluetooth or mail the smartcompress.app provided by 18+2...
3)browse with efilemanager c:\system\mail and find smartcompress.app and copy it...
4) go to c:\system\app\smartcompress and delete smartcompress.app...
5)Now paste the file previously copied...

That's all...

but there's something weird, when i used the eFileManager and looked for c:\system, i didn't find it.

all i had in my drive c are folder (Nokia) and 2 files (CameraFX and MidiEd).

what should i do??? sorry, i'm not good at this! hope it's okay with you to help me out.

in efileman go to option then settings/general and be sure that system folder is enabled (on)...

Now you should see the system folder...

the ultimate guide to get a cracked .app file on your nokia 7650


connect your phone to a pc via BT or infrared
start nokia suite
install a filemanager like efileman or seleq or whatever
install the app
unzip the crack and send the app file to the phone, should be in messages
now open the filemanager on the phone
go to c:\system\mail and do a search for the app in the filemanager
it should be found in a dir like c:\system\mail\00001001_S\2\001001ab_F
cut it
now go to the directory of the app, should be "c:\system\apps\"name of cracked app
delete the app file here
paste the app file from c:\system mail
start your registered app
If the app icon is gone in the menu the restart your phone!

hope this works for you all

Little explanation:

I cracked for x86 in the late 90s. In 2000 I got a PocketPC (Casio) so I cracked for MIPS cpu. Buy the way: Do you know pdazone?
Few weeks ago I bought this nokia phone. I even didn't know that there were so many apps for it.
Now that I know, I just want to have the best apps for free!
So I unpacked my "good old" disassembler (IDA Pro Advanced). And got it going...
ARM Assembler is a bit like MIPS, so no problem find a jmp and nop it!

Last: Anyone here who wants to know what I'm doing in real life?

Clearly: Send... doesn't work!

Saving no problem, send with IRDA works. But sending MMS, BT, Email doesn't work for me. And I can't find any reason for that, so I think it's not crack related!!!
But maybe it works for you...

As this is not a full release I attach it her but you will not find it anywhere else.

Also I'm wondering if this app is usefull.

Is there any clue how to send a normal MMS with sound? My nokia doesn't show me any sound file...

okay i saw where to get IDA PRO v4.04 (?) but its huge! do i really have to use that specific program to decode files like .app files?

i downloaded hackman, if you're familiar with it.. is it capable of what IDA PRO is capable of too? can hackman actually decode .app files? coz i tried, but it seems like its still garbage, it cant decode it.

and hey, when you decode .app files, are you seeing the code as if its the original source code? or is it garbled you just find your way through? thanx. sorry for the many questions.. i havent tried cracking .app files that's why. oh well, you're a genius and it will really be a pleasure and honor if you'll help me crack things up. i can understand computer codes and programming codes dont worry bout that. i'm a programmer. just need the things to get started, you know what i mean. thanx again bro.

Do you know what assembler is?
If you do you wouldn't ask such questions....

The app file is a binary file. If you can read binary you can crack it without IDA.
I can't read binary so I use IDA for disassembling. It gives me a assembler listing of the program code. Not C or anything else...
But assembler is human readable and thats the point...

Do a search for assembler and you will understand. Also I have to say that x86 assembler is different from ARM assembler...

I think it is very useful to know x86 assembler and cracking before starting with risc cpu's....


As usually I'm off for the weekend so don't expect reply till monday...
