Unlocking T28, T68i and/or T200

I'm new to unlocking, I've never done it before, but I have seen people unlock some phones... Now I want to try it. I have a T28, T68i and T200 that are all locked. I know I need special data cables to start with, so I found one that's good for the T28/68i, no avail for the T200 - no matter. Mabe someone knows of a place that sells them?

Is it what I need or is there something better?

Now for the software, I seen so many utilities for unlocking the T28, so I chose one at random -

I also found what appear to be "flash files", which I believe are unlocked firmware..

Now I wonder, should I use the unlocking program or the flash files? And what about unlocking program for the T68i - does it exist?

I may be asking a bunch of questions that seem stupid, but I tried to do my research, and there are so many softs out there, so many alleged "solutions" that I dont know which to take/believe! Do you have any recommended software/solution? Many thanks for any suggestions

Thank you for your reply, but have you tested the T28 unlock soft? It seems to close immediately when I run it... Note that I dont have the datacable nor the phone, and I am running WinXP, No SP. The software shuts down on start, immediately closing.. Is this becasue there is no phone attached or is it becasue the program doesn't work with XP? Or then again, is the program non-functionnal?

As for the logging solution, I might have to resort to using it, if no free solution is available...

this ericsson atr53 software works for me every time for t28, I am using good old win98 with it.

There is no working program for T68. You can unlock it by logs - New Ericsson Client - You have to pay for these logs... There is : Sony-Ericsson maintance software but... it reqiures a dongle and no one has it...

@Lucas: Is the software floating on the net? Dongle can be cracked pretty easily, or it can be extremely hard, depending on how it's used... And what's the cheapest log place I can use that you know of?

Thank you superman, I downloaded many different versions of that soft, will stick to the one you tested. You're using win98 for this right? Will it work with an athlonXP? I read somewhere that some unlocking soft don't work right with athlons - means I have to fix me old P2 to work... And do you know anything about Motorola unlocking? Can you take a look at my post here?

hi,
my system is AMD 1800XP, 256 DDR RAM, etc. and has no problems with any unlocking software as long it is the right one to use for the phone u want to unlock, wrong software can dead your cell as it happend to me a view times:
T18z, t28w, t190, t193. So do your research 1st. If u search long enough most unlock solutions r posted on the net.I dont believe a non intel cpu will make software not workable. if it can run win98 it can run the unlocking program too.

You just have to download New Ericsson Client. For more search on google. Dongle is very very hard to do... Let me know if you found some schematics because I couldn't....

I'm placing an order for the serial cable now, let's see how it goes. Anyone ever dealt with techgsm.com? I'm thinking of the second cable on this page. 14 USD seem like a good price?
