new to forums; unlocking a phone with 0 tries left?

background: i recently aquired an old phone (Sony Ericsson T610) with an undesirable SP sim card (tesco) so i took the card out and tried to add in my own... obviously it wont work because the phone is locked (SP lock and network lock)

i wanted to know if it was possible to unlock a phone that will no longer accept unlock codes because it has had its maximum amount of tries (i tried adding stuff in before i realised there was a limit to how many times i could do this... stupid i know)

so? can this be done and what do i need...



also the many services that claim to be able to remotely unlock your phone... is this service effected if you have 0 tries left....???? thanks

Hi,

The site that you are refering to remotely send a flash to your phone which will unlock your phone even if you have zero tries left, the service usually costs around £7

The only issue, you need a special t68 unlocking lead which you plug ino a com port, this can be aquirred from many online retailers for about £10

Alternatively take your phone down to a small phone repair shop

the cable i have is titled: SONY ERICSSON USB DATA CABLE T65 T68 T68i T610 P800

is it possible to flash a phone or otherwise remotely unlock it with this cable? or is a specialized COM port cable needed?

Does it say DCU-60 anywhere?
if so you can use www.unlockequipment.com with davinci server..

The cable that comes with the phone can be used for unlocking also..


The link you gave will also work to unlock your T610..

edited: i discovered my data cable was a DCU-11, not ideal for unlocking or flashing

i checked up the modifications from the davinici team website... i never was good at soldering so i dont think im going to chance it. ill either get hold of a T28 serial cable or a fighter/cruiser 4 in 1 cable.
