Nokia 6010 Software

Hello, I was able to successfully connect my 6010 to my PC through a 3595 usb cable. What I'm wondering is if there are any applications that can transfer ringtones and such. Also, I want to learn how to flash it, is it possible to flash without a box? Thanks!

The cable you are using, how many pins does the phone end have?

I bought one from EBAY, and it has 3 pins and possibly a broken 4th.

Also, as far as getting wallpaper and ringtones to a 6010, at least with T-Mobile, you just have to setup your phone for Multi Media Service (MMS).
Then send yourself an e-mail with attachment(s) from your PC. If it does not work, you may have to send yourself an e-mail from the 6010 first to set it up.

For transferring files and other tasks, you can use Nokia PC Suite (download from Nokia.com) or other phone manager, like Oxygen. There are GNU/GPL apps for Linux (if you work with KDE or have KDE-base installed) that also do that job.

For flashing... impossible without a box.

Hi,

I have a 6010 and cannot get Nokia PC Suite to work on it. I have a USB Cable for a 3510 and it will work with Oxygen, MobiMB, and Logomanger.

I've tried Nokia PC Suite 6.80.21, which version are you using? Is your cable a DKU-5 or CA42 or something else? The one I have is USB emulates a COM port.
