3650 Full movies are a hit!

Yep! Got better responses on the full movies then i expected.
The community got bigger and forced me to look for a free ftp donator to place the movies there instead of the yahoo groups.
Now the ftp is being prepared to get online in the next few days, with all of the movies converted till now.
Once it gets online, i hope you all stop teasing me because of the low download quota that the yahoo groups had...

i had founded a tutorial before found yours and it says keep constant bitrate at 80kpbs and frame rate at 10 fps. Have you ever tried this settings. i have tried and it worked better on some movie clips. i just wanted to share my experience to help everyone

all i get is audio only with helix, i cant get it too encode video at all.

what am i doing wrong, its driving me crazy

as soon as i open helix, i click browse for the file and as soon as it loads it says audio only in the video window.

i continue with the tutorial and hit encode and theres no video

I think it's pretty damned good...for a cell phone. I always have everyone around amazed that my phone plays movies when I watch them. ^_^

I have a few trailers in that quality (80kbps, 10fps) and with alot of movement they cut too much frames. With movies converted with a slighter low bitrate (70kbps) and with a higher frame rate (15fps), they cut less frames then with 80kbps with a 10fps rate with the bigger movement scenes, becoming more stable...
The tutorial you created works fine with some of the movies and the tutorial i created works with general movies... Animation movies are the best. If you can get your hands on Ice Age, you'll see why i'm saying that... The conversion is just perfect!

It depends on the amount of ram you have and cpu also...
If you are a nut case with an old cpu like i am (P2 266mhz), 16 minutes of movie are encoded in 1 hour. Now calculate this for something like the duration of Matrix Reloaded and you get a total time something like 8/9 hours...
I'm now stoping encoding movies temporary until i get the "new" computer... A P4 2.4ghz 120gb HD GeForce 4ti 1gb ram... Big update don't you think?

I know what you mean... I also still get people that doesn't believe in the full movie thing until i show them a movie... And i allways keep getting the question " Is that a trailer?"... lol

That depends on the movie legth... 2 hour movies take something like 64/66mb size...

pretty gud...but why don't you up the ante by using an AMD processor instead and with the extra cash upgrade your diskspace to 2 120gb HDD...

Movies in size can go from 42mb (1h20m) to, so far, 66mb (2h06m).
1h movie may take up to 30/35mb size... 3h movies like Lord of The Rings may go in size to 90/95mb.

I already have the P4 processor, so AMD is out of the question... But i am gonna buy the 120gig hd...
