i mean, its a nice and pretty phone but the buttons layout sucks!

Samsung released a flip fone which can turn 180 degrees. My mate bought one, but it screwed up somehow. The screen display had a few damaged pixels and the fone won't shut properly anymore

The more moving parts there is, the higher chance of damage ... Flip Fones are bad enough already

PS: Why aren't you getting the 7610 anymore?

looks to me, like the 6260 is a nokia version of the new sony ericsson S700, with 'modes' as they put it. Camera mode, browsing mode, and work mode.

shame it doesnt have a 1MP cam like the 7610 or S700. Also its a bit like another phone i seen, where to take picture the screen comes out so it looks like a Digicam with lcd.

My wife is Japanese and she loves the flip phone concept because thats all they have there. When I saw it I thought thats exactly whats she wants and it looks so cool and slick.
But now I see that the 7610 is far more superior when I compare the phones, I've changed my mind again. 0.3 mega pixel compared to 1 mega pixel. And its nokia's 2nd flip phone so its probably going to break or have some fault in it somewhere but it looks like nokia is starting to make most new phones filp anyway. The 6630 looks good too.

imo, i prefer 6260, because i can use normal mmc, get stereo and radio. in fact, it reminds me of a 7650 with a change in design and all the features. (when u close the flip with the lcd on top)

ar... the memories of 7650.... but the buttons on flip just below lcd kinda sucks, guess will see how it goes, when ppl get it, see wat they say.

Yes,symbian 7 and in my opinion the first perfect nokia symbian packs with everything camera,symbian system,video recording,radio,mp3 player,stereo,java,MMC slot. It has included 2 things a lot of people always complaint lack off,radio and stereo!

I'm went to Nokia Connection 2004 in Singapore. The Product Manager told me that 6260 using RS-MMC and he saw me that the 6260 had the ability of hot-swap. If you all do not believe it, I will not comment 6260 anymore.

i haven played with a demo set yet, but the specs are written as mmc on nokia.com, with hot swap.

rsmmc is for 6630, maybe that guy was mistaken.

If it uses RS-MMC, I guess there will be a bigger demand for it ... thus creating a shortage. If a shortage occurs, the company should create more supply ... and a new equilibrium should be created. If all goes well, the prices should fall a little.

6260 is running on Symbian 7 and the current prototype has a internal free memory of 8MB.

I have attach a photo of the memory status but the image is abit blur due to my hand is shaking.

As for the feel of 6260, I would say the current firmware is not stable to use yet and the use of the camera require a new learn of using it.

Overall after 2 days of using it, I start to like it. I have try to install some software and games. It seems to work with most of the application but some fail like, FS Caller 2.08 and PhotoAcute 1.01.

I will update you after I have test more.
